How to send cryptocurrencies to your contact list in Bitnovo APP?

The launch of our new app brought many new features for all our users. One of the most interesting is the possibility to create a list of Bitnovo contacts and send them cryptocurrencies as if it were Bizum.

This greatly improves the security of your transactions, since you will not have to copy and paste the endless public addresses every time you want to send or receive cryptocurrencies. And also, unlike sending through Bizum, here you are always the sole owner of your funds because remember that in Bitnovo we are not cryptocurrency custodians.

Now come with me, I will explain you how to send cryptocurrencies to your Bitnovo contacts in the new APP.

As you can imagine, the first step is to download the APP from the Google Play Store or the App Store if you have an iPhone.

Step-by-step to add a contact and send cryptocurrencies

The first thing you must do to be able to add contacts is to have a Bitnovo account. If you don’t have one yet, all you have to do is:

Create Bitnovo account

1. Click on the “Settings” section of the APP and then click on “Connect with Bitnovo“.
2. At the bottom, click on “Create account“.
3. Complete the registration and confirmation instructions.

Now that you have your account created and connected, I will explain how to add a contact and send them Bitcoin and the main cryptocurrencies.

Add a new contact

Now that you have created and contacted your account, simply follow these steps:

1. Go to the “Settings” section of the App and click on “Manage contacts“.
2. Click on “Create a contact“.
3. Fill in your new contact information (first name, last name and wallet address) and click “Accept“.

Automatically search for existing contacts in your address book

You can also give us permission to access your address book and show you the addresses of your existing contacts. The procedure is simple:

1. Go to the “Settings” section of the App and click on “Manage contacts“.
2. Click on “Give permission“.
3. We will automatically show you all available Bitnovo contacts.

How to send cryptocurrencies to your contacts?

Now that you have created your list of contacts, I will explain how to send them Bitcoin (although you can also send them Ethereum, DAI, Tether or any other cryptocurrency you wish).

1. Go to the “Home” of the App and click on “Bitcoin“.
2. Click on “Send“.
3. Select the desired contact for sending BTC and click “Next“,
4. Choose the amount of Bitcoin you want to send and click “Next“.
5. You will be able to see the summary of the shipment where all the data is indicated, including Bitnovo’s fee, the network commission and the total that your contact will receive in BTC.
6. Click on “Confirm” and your Bitcoins will be sent to your contact!

What cryptocurrencies can you send through Bitnovo?

Currently you can send and receive the following cryptocurrencies from your contacts:

• Bitcoin (BTC)
• Ethereum (ETH)
• Tether (USDT)
• Dai (DAI)
• Dash (DASH)
• Litecoin (LTC)
• Basic Attention Token (BAT)
• Bitcoin Cash (BCH)
• 0x (ZRX)
• OMG Network (OMG)

These are the first to be incorporated into the new APP but, week by week, more will be added.
