How to verify your identity in the Wallet

Identity verification is an important process at Bitnovo to ensure that you are protected and that we comply with international regulations.

This is a necessary step for you to enjoy the full functionality of Bitnovo Wallet, such as purchases and withdrawals with higher limits. All users must go through this process to be able to operate.

To do this you need to be on the main screen and click on “Incomplete registration”.

Verification levels

There are three levels of verification that you will see below, the more advanced the verification, the higher your maximum amount to perform operations in the wallet.

With basic verification, you will have a limit for buying and selling of €5000, with intermediate verification the limit will be €15000, and with advanced verification, you will be able to carry out transactions from €15000 onwards.

For basic verification, you will need to verify your complete personal information: full name, date of birth, and address.

For the intermediate verification you will have to prove your place of residence. Document that accredits your current residence.

For advanced verification you will need to prove the origins of the funds. Demonstrate reliably where the funds come from.

Verification of vivacity

 

Once you have submitted the relevant documents for the level of verification you choose, you will need to undergo a liveness check. In other words, we want to make sure that you are the account holder and that there is no person impersonating you. For this you will need to take a photo of the front and back of your document, passport or residence card.

Then, you will move on to the 3D selfie. The app will ask you to take a 3D selfie to verify that you are the person shown on the identification document. At this stage, you will need to undergo a liveness detection verification, which involves turning your head in front of your camera for a few seconds.

Then, the verification status will appear as pending. This means that we will be processing the information you have provided to give you a prompt response.

Once we have verified your identity, the KYC (know your customer) process will be completed and you will be able to access all the functionalities we offer.
